Dear Vincent We refer to your email of 5 Sep 2013. 2 Please be informed that passengers with confirmed connecting or departing flights may remain within the Changi Airport transit area until time for flight departure. All other passengers should exit the transit area as soon as possible. Visitors who are able to obtain their onward boarding passes from any of the Transfer Lounges within the transit area can also remain in the transit area. 3 We wish to further highlight that most visitors who are arriving on a Low Cost Carrier (LCC) or connecting to a Low Cost Carrier (LCC) in Changi Airport are required to seek immigration clearance and obtain their onward boarding passes in the respective Departure Check-in Hall. In this instance, visitors will require to seek immigration clearance and satisfy the prevailing entry requirements, which include possessing an entry visa, where applicable. For more information on flights connection, please visit the Changi Airport Group’s website at the following URL : http://www.changiairport.com/in-transit/transit-information 4 People's Republic of China (PRC) ordinary passport holders will require to obtain a visa prior to their arrival in Singapore. Should you foresee the need to enter Singapore, you are advised to apply for the required entry visa so as to facilitate your entry into Singapore. Every application for visa, including the duration of the visa granted, is considered on its own merits and it is subjected to approval. Visitors are strongly encouraged to submit visa application 30 days prior to arrival in Singapore. The local contact is required to furnish his/her passport details in SAVE. If the application is approved, the validity of the e-Visa shall start from the date of approval. Visitors are advised to enter within the period of the e-Visa validity. 5 Visitors issued with the e-Visa are strongly encouraged to print and bring along their e-Visa to avoid any inconvenience as the airlines are likely to ask them to produce it for verification at the time of their checking-in. If you wish to know more about visa application, the information is available in ICA’s website at url: http://www.ica.gov.sg/page.aspx?pageid=168&secid=166 6 ICA welcomes bona-fide visitors to enter Singapore. Apart from possession of a valid visa, visitors are required to ensure that they fulfill our other prevailing immigration entry requirements, such as holding a valid passport with at least six months validity, confirmed return/onward tickets (where applicable), sufficient funds for the period of stay in Singapore and entry facilities to their onward destinations, e.g. visas. Visitors who are eligible for entry will be issued with visit passes upon arrival. These visit passes determine the number of days that visitors are allowed to stay in Singapore. The grant of entry and the duration of the Visit Passes granted will be assessed on the merits of each individual and at the discretion of ICA Officers stationed at Singapore Checkpoints. 7 All visitors are advised to check their passports for the arrival endorsement and take note of the number of days stay given before leaving the checkpoint. They are reminded to ensure that they do not overstay without a valid pass beyond this date. Thank you.
